No Planned Debates For Inhofe, Siverstein
Inhofe adamant in refusal to debate Silverstein for senate seat

U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe hasn’t changed his mind about refusing to debate Democratic challenger Matt Silverstein and won’t be doing so, the three-term incumbent’s campaign spokesman says.
“Senator Inhofe has no interest in sharing a stage with Mr. Silverstein and giving legitimacy to his baseless attacks and distortions of the truth,” Rusty Appleton said in an email early this week.
Silverstein, a 33-year-old Tulsa financial adviser who seems to be running well behind one of the best-known names in Oklahoma political history, says Inhofe is the only incumbent senator who has refused to debate a challenger this fall.
Silverstein says Inhofe “is arrogantly thumbing his nose in disrespect towards the very people he works for” by refusing to debate.
