Top Business Association Endorses Lankford

OKLAHOMA CITY—The National Federation of Independent Business, Oklahoma’s and the nation’s leading small-business association, today endorsed James Lankford for U.S. Senate.

“Our members support the candidates who support small business,” said Lisa Goeas, NFIB vice president for Political and Grassroots. “James Lankford has stood with our members time and again in the House. We need leaders like him in the Senate.”

Jerrod Shouse, state director of NFIB/Oklahoma said, “Throughout his career, James Lankford’s commitment to small business has been second to none. His support of free enterprise has been unwavering. If we’re serious about fixing things for small business, we need to elect James Lankford to the Senate.”

“I am honored to be endorsed by this alliance of so many small business owners,” Congressman James Lankford said, “I understand that we must protect opportunities for small businesses to start-up, take risks, grow and sustain great employees. Our local businesses impact every aspect of our communities and it is vital we have policies that remove overreaching and burdensome regulations.”

Lankford has earned a 100-percent lifetime NFIB Voting Record, supporting the small-business position on key issues such as overturning the Affordable Care Act, passing sensible regulations and easing the tax burden on small-business owners and working families.

Lankford’s endorsement comes from the NFIB SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust, the association’s political action committee, and is based on the candidate’s record and positions on key small-business issues including health care, taxes and labor and regulatory issues.

NFIB has over 4,000 dues-paying members in Oklahoma representing a cross section of the state’s economy. Small-business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB will encourage its members to help turn out the small-business vote for James Lankford on Election Day.
