Mullin: Kerry Sounds Like A ‘Used Car Salesman’ On Syria Pitch

A GOP lawmaker compared Secretary of State John Kerry to a “used car salesman,” following a briefing with key White House officials on Capitol Hill.
Oklahoma Rep. Markwayne Mullin said he will vote against a resolution to grant President Obama the authority to launch military strikes on Syria, in part, because of Kerry’s presentation Monday night.
“Secretary Kerry sounded more like a used car salesman than he did the Secretary of State,” Mullin said as he left the briefing.
Mullin hoped to learn more about the people who would benefit in Syria, but Kerry and the other high-ranking administration officials stuck to the scripted argument designed to convince Congress of the President’s case for action in Syria.
