Lt. Governor Exercises Constitutional Duties to Advance House Bill 2562

Oklahoma City – Lt. Governor Todd Lamb cast the tie-breaking vote to advance the Conference Committee Report to House Bill 2562. This enabled the State Senate to vote on final passage.

Lamb said, “As Lt. Governor I have been committed to growing Oklahoma’s economy. As a conservative that means keeping taxes low and not growing government. I am pleased to have been a leader and advocate for House Bill 2562 during the legislative session and exercise my constitutional duties to help move this job creating legislation forward. This legislation stops what would have been a 600% increase in taxes on one of Oklahoma’s most important industries. Passage of this legislation it will help move Oklahoma forward.”
