UPDATE: Jurors found Sooner Tea Party leader Al Gerhart guilty of blackmail and violating the Computer Crimes Act late Wednesday evening. However, Gerhart did not get any prison time and must pay a $1,000 fine.
Jurors Wednesday began deliberating whether Sooner Tea Party leader Al Gerhart blackmailed a state Senate chairman when he sent an email demanding passage of a bill.
“This is crazy,” his defense attorney, Kevin Adams, said in closing arguments at the Oklahoma County courthouse. “This is what we do in America. We have the right to free speech.”
He asked jurors to send Gerhart home. He told them the case has lots of implications for every citizen’s rights.

Have you seen the audio tape of this guy calling visitors to his Capital office “crazies”? What a class snob
