Oklahoma Speaker of the House Jeff Hickman and state Treasurer Ken Miller were among almost a dozen state office-holders to announce their support for former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination on Thursday.
The endorsements were announced one day after Senate President Pro Tem Brian Bingman and several other GOP lawmakers endorsed Bush rival Ted Cruz, who campaigned in the state on Thursday.
“Jeb is the right man to lead our party and country, and I plan to do everything I can to help him win our important primary election in Oklahoma and the other states he needs to secure the Republican nomination,” said Hickman, R-Fairview.
