Gerhart should never have been charged. Even though I think he is a horrible excuse for a person, with a past history of lying about people, making things up and twisting the resume and backgrounds of his enemies, he did not break the law here. Sometimes you have to defend those you dislike on principle and this appears to be such a case.
There is a long history of people who are prosecuted for political reasons in this state, and people who are not but should be. It would be nice if we could get rid of Prater, like we did Edmondson, and perhaps we would have fewer issues like this. He will win on appeal. This will serve to boost his credibility and cost the taxpayers in the process.
Couldn’t have happened to a better guy! Just wish it had been a $2,000,000,000 fine. 😉
