Bridenstine Town Hall Draws Large Crowd
Middle East ‘is going to get ugly,’ Bridenstine tells Mabee Center crowd

First District Congressman Jim Bridenstine came within a whisker Tuesday night of calling for an all-out U.S. combat mission in the Middle East — and then suggested that war might be inevitable regardless.
“Given the direction things are headed right now,” he said, “it’s going to get ugly.”
Speaking to a loudly assenting crowd of 1,400 at the Mabee Center, Bridenstine repeated previous forecasts of economic disaster, international disarray and domestic collapse, and he blamed President Barack Obama for most of it and Democrats in Congress for the rest.
“The president doesn’t want to do what is necessary to thwart this threat,” Bridenstine, a Tulsa Republican, said in response to a question about the Islamic State group and related organizations.
