Bridenstine To Appear As Cruz Surrogate After Tonight’s CNN Debate

First District Congressman Jim Bridenstine is among those literally in Texas Senator Ted Cruz’ corner for tonight’s big Las Vegas fight — otherwise known as the Republican presidential debate.
Bridenstine is acting as a Cruz surrogate, giving statements and interviews on Cruz’ behalf in the hours leading up to what the could be a pivotal moment in the GOP nomination process.
With Cruz beginning to separate from the pack and take aim at front-runner Donald Trump, Tuesday’s debate could propel Cruz into a higher arc.
Bridenstine’s devotion to the charismatic Texan is well established. The two have been close allies since both arrived in Congress less than three years ago.
