Confusing signals are coming from the House GOP leadership the last several days.

On the one hand, they are continuing their long promise to ignore the Senate’s giant amnesty bill.

But they are now indicating they want to have votes this fall on their own amnesties (although they of course don’t admit they are amnesties).

One “legalization” would be for illegal aliens brought here as children.

And the other “legalization” would be for the rest of the 11 million. The presumed difference in this and the Senate amnesty would be that House Republicans would not offer the illegal aliens a “special path to citizenship.”

Just remember that whether illegal aliens get a “special path” to citizenship or some kind of general path, or no path at all, they still get lifetime work permits to compete against American workers.
