Inhofe, Area Legislators To Gather For Bartlett

23 LEGISLATORS GATHER FOR TULSA MAYORAL ANNOUNCEMENT

TULSA – Twenty-three legislators will gather Thursday evening for a very important announcement concerning Tulsa’s Mayoral Election to be held this November. Oklahoma State Representatives and Senators in and surrounding Oklahoma’s 1st Congressional District will make the announcement at 5:15PM at the Tulsa Press Club.

U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe will provide the opening remarks and will be introducing Oklahoma’s first female House Majority Leader, Pam Peterson, and Oklahoma Senate Pro Tempore Brian Bingman. It will be Sen. Inhofe’s first public appearance since his successful heart surgery earlier this month.

Oklahoma’s 1st Congressional District is the state’s second largest district in population. It includes Tulsa and Washington Counties along with portions of Creek, Rogers and Wagoner Counties. This is the largest gathering ever of legislators from Northeast Oklahoma outside of the State’s Capital for this type of event.
