First District Congressman Jim Bridenstine plans to stick to his 2012 campaign promise to serve no more than three terms, he said Monday.
“My intention is to serve one more term,” Bridenstine said in response to a question at a Tulsa Regional Chamber luncheon. “I’m running right now for my third and final term, and when that’s over I’m going to come home and get a job.”
Bridenstine is in the middle of his second term.
I’ve got a 9-year-old; I’ve got a 7-year-old; I’ve got a 3-year-old,” Bridenstine said. “I love my kids, and I’m missing a lot of their activities because of what I’m doing right now.”
