Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt was the keynote speaker Thursday morning at the 41st annual meeting of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) convening in Dallas.

In his speech, Pruitt focused on the leading role Oklahoma is playing to fight the “sue and settle” tactics of federal agencies like the EPA. The attorney general also participated in a panel discussion at the meeting to discuss Oklahoma’s “sue and settle” lawsuit against the US Fish and Wildlife Service over the endangered species listing of the lesser prairie chicken.

Pruitt was among other prominent conservative keynoters during the course of the ALEC meeting that included luminaries like Texas Gov. Rick Perry, North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory, former U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint, and former Speaker of the U.S. House Newt Gingrich.
