OKLAHOMA CITY – Today, former Governor Brad Henry enthusiastically endorsed Joe Dorman for the next Governor of Oklahoma. Henry, known as the “Education Governor” for his strong support of public education during his eight years in office, said Dorman is the best choice to get Oklahoma’s education system back on track.

“Unbelievably, our current leaders have forgotten how important public education is to the future of our state. And they’ve forgotten how important our educators are. That’s just unacceptable,” said Henry. “I know Joe Dorman well, and I know he will fight to invest in our schools and our teachers so our children will have the best opportunities to succeed. Oklahomans have a clear choice in the governor’s race, but Joe Dorman is the only choice when it comes to investing in our schools, our teachers and our children. Joe will work hard every day to improve our education system. He will put people before politics, and I encourage all Oklahomans to join me in electing Joe Dorman as our next governor.”

Governor Henry will be available for comment today between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. To reach him, please contact Adrianne Covington Graham at (405) 473-2051.
